We made it! More importantly, I made it! I got through this entire season without wanting to quit my blog or throw my computer through a window or punch anyone. That is a lot more than I can say for the previous season. Here’s what went down with each dude last night…
Jordan: JoJo loves him because of his great sense of humor. It’s what I’ve been saying for weeks now- they have a natural chemistry and I think it relies a lot on how they can joke around and laugh together. JoJo’s family loved Jordan because he brought them all funny hats to wear to break the ice in a somewhat awkward situation. JoJo and her family are a little bit worried about Jordan’s issues with
Aaron Rogers his brother, and they are hoping that they can trust him. When JoJo asks her mom if she likes Jordan she says, “Yes I like Jordan! Who doesn’t like Jordan!” JoJo seems to think that this is a problem.
Robby: He has an overwhelming love for JoJo and he tells her time and time again during this meeting with her parents that he will never let her down. He believes that commitment is for life and even without knowing who JoJo is going to choose, Robby asks “Dr. Fletcher” for “Joelle’s” hand in marriage. JoJo’s parents are elated and her dad starts to cry.
JoJo is confused. She loved both men and her family seems to as well. Her brother say that she seems to be sticking up for Jordan more, but she says that she would be doing the same thing for Robby. There is one more one-on-one date for each guy before the final rose ceremony.
Robby: He and JoJo enjoy a day out on the beautiful blue water in Thailand. They have a lot of fun and they say that they feel like they are the only two people on earth. Besides the camera crew, of course. They share an underwater kiss that seemed much more passionate than Kaitlyn and Clint’s last season. Robby shares with JoJo that he has a vision of them sitting on a couch with their dog, drinking wine, and smelling burnt meatloaf from the kitchen because they were so in love that they forgot about dinner. It honestly doesn’t sound like that bad of a vision. I’m down, Robby. Let’s toss the burnt meatloaf and get a pizza! Robby shares photos with JoJo that they have taken throughout the season and they are very sweet. They look back on how their love has blossomed over the past couple of months. There is a lot of kissing.
Jordan: He and JoJo go on a boat ride to enjoy the water and sunshine. All is well, but JoJo is bothered by the fact that Jordan did not ask her father for his blessing to marry her. Jordan explains that he respects the sanctity of marriage (hence being on The Bachelorette) and that he only wants to do everything one time. He didn’t want to ask for her father’s blessing if he didn’t end up being the one she picked. This was, surprisingly, not a good enough answer for JoJo. She was very upset with him for not being more sure of their relationship, but can you blame the guy? JoJo tells him that the moment is gone and they can never get it back. Their final date before the last rose ceremony is a little awkward because of that. When the date is over, Jordan calls Mr. Fletcher and asks for his blessing. I feel bad for him because he really stressed that he wanted to do this in person, and I also hope he didn’t do it just to satisfy JoJo.
Both men write JoJo letters and she reads them both, which I think would make her decision a lot harder. She read from Jordan that he received her father’s blessing and that he is ready to propose and commit. From Robby, she got more of what she heard the previous afternoon about their future together.
Robby: The first one out of the car is an awkward thing to see. He is so excited but you and Chris Harrison both know that his heart is about to be broken. Thankfully, JoJo did not let him get down on one knee. She stopped him and cried. She cried a whole lot. Robby told her that he wants her to be happy and she said that she had only said the things she had said earlier because he deserved to know how she felt about him, even if he wasn’t her final choice.
Jordan: JoJo’s emotions went from lowest low to highest high when Jordan got out of the car and walked up to her. She let him say what she needed to say, and for the first time she returned the “I love you.” Jordan was elated. He proposed to Joelle Hannah Fletcher with a gorgeous Neil Lane ring, and the rest is history…well it’s going to be all of the media for a few days but still.
We made it!
Who’s Gonna Last? (My predictions, not spoilers.)
And I did it all without Reality Steve. Thank you, thank you very much.
So, what do YOU think? Did JoJo make the right choice? Who should be our next Bachelor? Are you going to watch Bachelor in Paradise tonight? Let me know what you think in the comments!
